Hey, I’m Mashrif Al Din, a student at Tokyo International University majoring in Business Economics. Before coming to Japan, I was an Officer Cadet in the Bangladesh Army (BMA 86 L/C). That chapter of my life played a big role in shaping my journey abroad. When I first arrived in Japan, I didn’t know a single word of Japanese, but I took that as a challenge. In my second year, I interned at Mitsubishi Fuso in the Quality Management team. Toward the end of that year, I started working as a real estate agent at First Step Co., Ltd., and also began assisting with vehicle and heavy machinery exports at Jamex Co., Ltd., a company with over 40 years in the business. Despite the busy schedule, I’ve been able to maintain good grades and still find time to have fun and enjoy life here. Along the way, I got my Japanese driver’s license and even worked as a tour guide (a fun way of earning money!). Every step I’ve taken in Japan has taught me something new. I’m still learning, still growing, and always looking for ways to help others going through the same journey, if not better.
