About Me

Hello, I’m Sadab. I am a duly qualified legal professional presently full time employed as a Trainee Generalist Legal Adviser and Caseworker with Citizens Advice Bureau, part of the United Kingdom’s foremost independent advice-providing organisation. I obtained my Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Hertfordshire in 2024, graduating with Second Class Honours, Upper Division (2:1), and I am now progressing towards my ambition of qualifying as a Barrister-at-Law. My major was in Medical Negligence Law and currently I am specializing in Employment and Housing. During my time as a student, I gained valuable experience working with multiple employers in various part-time roles. In addition, my engagement of two years as a Student Legal Adviser with the Hertfordshire Law Clinic significantly enhanced my professional development and greatly facilitated my transition into securing a graduate position. In the autumn of 2021, as a nineteen–year–old boy from Bangladesh, I stood at the departure gate of Dhaka International Airport, while my heart torn between the familiarity of home and the uncharted promise of a new world. With little more than 23 kilograms of luggage, I carried not just my belongings but the story of nineteen years of life — a vision folded into fabric and paper. I set out on a journey that was not merely across continents, but into destiny itself: the pursuit of dreams in the heart of the Western world. Arriving in London, I stepped into a country where air was unfamiliar, the culture distant, the language deceptively simple yet layered with nuance. For an international student, the struggle is never confined to academics. It is survival in the margins — balancing tuition that weighs like an unyielding statute, navigating immigration rules that operate with almost contractual precision, and enduring the solitude of being oceans away from family. I share this little story not for applause, but for perspective. To show every aspiring international student that the road is hard — but it is possible. Your dreams are valid, and they can be achieved; all you need is just a little guidance to live your dreams. As someone who has walked this path, I understand the challenges, uncertainties, and sacrifices that come with the pursuit of education abroad. From navigating complex visa applications and preparing for IELTS, to crafting strong Statements of Purpose and planning a sustainable road-map for life in a new country, I can offer guidance drawn from both professional expertise and lived experience. With the right mentorship, determination, and preparation, international students can transform challenges into opportunities and create a future defined by success and fulfillment.
