Hasibul Islam is a Ph.D. student in Finance at the University of Alabama, one of the leading business schools in the United States. He is a qualified and experienced academician with a strong background in research and teaching. Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, he served as a Researcher at the School of Business and Economics, North South University, Bangladesh. His research interests lie in financial economics, environmental economics, and energy economics, with a particular focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), sustainable finance, climate policy, and green innovation. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, accumulating over 1,600 citations, reflecting the growing impact and recognition of his scholarly contributions. Earlier in his academic career, he held lecturer positions at Varendra University and NPI University of Bangladesh, where he taught finance and economics courses and mentored students in quantitative and analytical methods. His academic journey has been marked by notable achievements, including his nomination for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Gold Medal—an honor awarded for outstanding academic excellence. Despite early challenges in accessing research opportunities, he consistently pursued high-quality scholarship and published in reputable international journals.
