About Me

Hi, I’m Zahid! I’m a master’s student in Epidemiology and Biomedical Data Science at the University of Oulu, Finland, with a background in Statistics from Khulna University, Bangladesh. One of the biggest steps in my journey was moving to Finland together with my spouse, something many students worry about when planning a master’s or PhD abroad. Going through the process myself, from navigating residence permits to settling into a new country as a couple, has given me first-hand insight into how to make this transition smoother and less stressful. Alongside my academic path, I’ve learned how to adapt to a new education system, manage life changes, and build a support network in a completely new environment. I’m here to guide prospective students not only with study‑abroad planning, program selection, and motivation letters, but also with practical advice on relocating with a partner and building a stable life while pursuing higher studies.
